us2pass.com exists for one drive: US 2 over Stevens Pass, from the Everett trestle to Wenatchee. The corridor has a split personality, two river valleys, a 4,061 foot summit, a ski area on the crest, and weather that answers to two climates at once, and the official information about it has always been scattered across feeds, hotlines, and apps that bury the answer. This site puts the answer first.
All conditions data comes from the Washington State Department of Transportation: the mountain pass conditions feed, the highway camera network, and the statewide alert stream. We add the layer WSDOT does not: plain language answers, a public history of the postings, local writing about every town on the corridor, and tools like the free conditions widget that put the live verdict on the websites of the corridor's own businesses.
The verdict first
Every pass page on this site opens with the live WSDOT status, in plain words, with its timestamp: open, restricted, or closed. No digging, no stale screenshots, no summary of a summary.
Cameras the length of the road
Stevens Pass is only the middle of the drive. We carry every WSDOT camera on US 2 from Everett to Wenatchee, each with its own page, so valley fog and canyon ice get the same attention as the summit.
The record, in public
Our status history logs every change in the Stevens Pass posting, and the storm archive keeps the hard days. What the pass did is as useful as what it is doing, and nobody else publishes the record.
Both passes, one decision
When Stevens is in trouble, the alternative is Snoqualmie. Our comparison page runs both live verdicts side by side, and our sister site i90live.com covers the I-90 corridor the way this site covers US 2.
us2pass.com is published by Bright Red Design as part of a family of pass condition sites built to one standard: the verdict first, live data only, and writing that treats every pass as its own place. The family includes i80pass.com for Donner Pass and I-80 in the Sierra, i90live.com for Snoqualmie Pass, and i5pass.com for the Oregon Cascades. See the whole family on the Our pass network page.
